Current projects include work with small wind systems, low cost biodigesters and air source heat pumps.
John Moore is an engineer by training but has spent the last ten years running high technology automotive businesses. He started his career with the highly respected Ricardo Group carrying out research and client engineering projects initially in diesel engines and then in transmission systems. In 1999 he moved to Pressac Group to take commercial and new product development responsibility for one of its automotive businesses producing printed and moulded plastics. Following a period as an independent consultant, he moved to Group Lotus to lead the commercialisation of their IP portfolio. This involved a wide range of technologies from anti-noise to lightweight composite structures to advanced combustion technologies. In 2002 he was appointed commercial director for Lotus Engineering, the engineering service division of Group Lotus. In 2005 he left Lotus to take up a post as Chief Executive Officer of Antonov plc, an IP based business operating primarily in automotive transmission technologies. In this role he restructured the business, setting up a new technical team in the UK and raising over €14m for investment in product development. He also set up a Chinese WFOE to pursue a number of commercial deals in the emerging Chinese automotive sector and to liaise with the strong Chinese supply base. He left Antonov in January 2009 to set up Njordgen and pursue his vision for cost effective renewable energy solutions. The first venture to come out of this work is Windcrop and more information on this can be found at www.windcrop.co.uk
